3. Rock and Roll history. • It is a kind of music, that was created in the United States, about the middle of the XX century. • This music didn´t appear suddenly. It came up as a result of music kinds fusion. These sorts of music were: jazz, (at the beginning) blues, gospel music and religious songs from black people. • It was a kind of life for a lot of adolescents, who wanted to be different and criticize the society. • With frantic, fast and intense sounds. It was something new. • So, the electric guitar appeared, which could reproduce these sounds perfectly.

4. Most important groups or bands • The Beatles: This band was formed in 1957, in Liverpool. They were known by the whole world. The components were: Ringo Star, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison. • Rolling Stones: This band was created in 1962. The components are: Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Brian Jones. They play hard rock. • The Ramones: This group was formed in 1974, in the United States. The components were: Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee and Tommy. They didn’t play only rock, they played punk music,too.

5. Spanish Rock and Roll • In Spain there are a lot of Rock and Roll groups, too. • The most important ones are: “Marea” ( the singer is a poet, too), “Extremoduro”, “La Fuga”, “Platero y tú”, “Reincidentes”, “Albertucho”, “Héroes del Silencio”, “Los Piratas”, and “Rosendo”, among other groups.

6. My personal opinion about this music - I like this music very much, because lyrics are like poems. Other thing that I like very much is the rhythm. • I found it for a long time, but now I like this much. • My favourite groups are: Arctic Monkeys, “Marea”, The Ramones and “La Fuga”.
