Today… By the end of this session you will have will have: • an understanding of the different levels of service user involvement in all aspects of the speech and language therapy profession • developed a list of strategies and questions to establish service users goals for therapy and views on the service

“No decision about me without me” Patients will receive greater choice and control so that services become more responsive and designed around the patient, rather than the patient having to fit around the services

Involving service users in campaigning Sharing good news stories in the media Attending events and meeting VIPs Being part of a delegation meeting decision makers Designing a speech bubble or other method for sharing their experience and ideas.

English is a second language for both
