  2. Our Story! • ADVANCED LANDSCAPE AND HYDROSEEDING WAS FOUNDED IN 1992 AS A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE COMPANY. THE ORIGINAL NAME ADVANCED LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE WAS IN PLACE FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 YEARS. WE SPECIALIZED IN COMMERCIAL MAINTENANCE ACCOUNTS. OUR CLIENTS RANGED FROM WALMARTS TO COSTCO’S AND VARIOUS OTHER APARTMENT COMPLEXES AND SHOPPING CENTERS.

  4. Hydroseeding Ground Cover WE CAN HYDROSEED MANY DIFFERENT GROUND COVERS, PLEASE CALL TO FIND OUT WHICH VARIETIES ARE AVAILABLE. NOT ALL PLANT VARIETIES AND GROUND COVERS CAN BE HYDROSEEDING. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT SOME PLANTS DO NOT RELIABLY START WELL FROM SEEDS. WE CAN TYPICALLY HYDROSEED NATIVE PLANTS, NATIVE FLOWERS, PERENNIAL GROUND COVERS, SUCH AS GAZANIA AND ALYSSUM, AND MANY TYPES OF GRASSES INCLUDING FINE FESCUES LIKE CREEPING RED FESCUE, SHEEP‘S FESCUE, AND HARD FESCUE.

  5. Erosion Control EROSION CONTROL REFERS TO A HYDROSEEDING PROCESS THAT MAY, OR MAY NOT, INCLUDE A SEED. IF WE ARE PERFORMING EROSION CONTROL WITHOUT SEED IN THE MIX WE WOULD CALL THAT HYDRO MULCHING. HYDRO MULCHING IS A PROCESS THAT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS HYDROSEEDING, WE JUST DO NOT ADD SEED TO THE TANK MIX. WHY WOULD WE DO THIS? PERHAPS YOU MAY NOT WANT ANY NEW PLANTS GROWING IN AN AREA YOU PLAN TO RE-LANDSCAPE IN THE FUTURE? BUT YOU NEED EROSION CONTROL TO HOLD THE SOIL, DUST, OR THE HILLSIDE IN PLACE UNTIL THAT LANDSCAPE PLAN CAN BE IMPLEMENTED.

  6. Hydroseeding Directions and Care THE GOLDEN RULE FOR HYDROSEEDING IS TO KEEP THE GROUND MOIST FOR A MINIMUM OF 30 DAYS, WITHOUT PRODUCING PUDDLES. DURING THESE 30 DAYS, GERMINATION WILL OCCUR. THE IDEAL TIMES FOR WATERING ARE 9 AM 12 PM AND 3 PM (do not water at night due to a high risk of producing fungi).

Hydroseeding Common Mistakes • Allowing pets to urinate on the lawn as the ammonia from pet urine will stunt or kill the growth of grass in certain areas. • Underwatering • Overwatering • Applying harsh chemicals during the heat of summer on new lawns will kill new grass • Wait 1 day for Hydroseed to dry before beginning a watering program. • Depending on your environment and (or) soil preparations, weeds may or may not appear. • If weeds grow in with the Hydroseed do not use a weed killer or weed and feed until the lawn is mature • enough to withstand the treatment.
