3. About the arrangement • Khentii Provincial Government organized the 7th Local Cooperation Committee (LCC) Meeting, the 5th LCC Logistics Sub-Committee (LSC) Meeting, and the 6th Local Development Forum (LDF) which were concluded with great success on 24-25 July, 2019, in Khentii Province, Mongolia. • Participated more than 40 participants from LCC member provinces China, RoK, Japan and Mongolia. • We prepared the preparatory work according by the work division and advice of GTI secretariat.

4. The 7th LCC meeting & The 5th LSC meeting • The GTI secretariat director was moderated according to the agenda and each perspective of the member provinces was speech and discuss their results and cooperation on Local Cooperation Committee.

5. The 6th Local Development Forum “Development of Regional Historical Tourism in NEA” Participants by invitation: • Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Mongolia • Local council of Khentii province • “Man of Millennium-Great ChinggisKhaan” historical tourism development programme -2030

6. Result • The first time Khentii provincial Government was organized the International Conference & meeting & forum. • Introduced its development trends and vision of Khentii province to member provinces of GTI and promoted new projects and programs.

7. Challenges Lessons learned • No budget • The local transportation by land • The meeting venue hall was small and understaffed • English language barriers • Lack of experience * To plan early enough and to have sufficient budget * study the new projects and programs closely and coordinate with their province projects and programs *Prepare a high level of language preparation

8. About new proposal of Khentii province • Priority Sector: Tourism • Time Frame: 2020-2022 • Estimated Budget: every year 4500 USD funded by the Governor’s foundation and increase by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia • Source of Founding: Khentii Provincial Government • Project Status: proposal • Background • Khentii province is one of the regions with the fastest growth in tourism industry in the North East Asia supported by the Government of Mongolia. The "Chinggis Festival" has been held since 2017 under the auspices of the Governor of Khentii province. The goal is to increase the number of tourism products and tourists by held the event that to promote the traditional arts and cultures to the child and youth and whole world, to expand the international cultural relations. We are aiming to make this festival a product of tourism may which is organized annually by the members of GTI LCC in the North East Asia Region. For instance, we are propose to be organize this tourism event in each member province of GTI LCC in the North East Asia alternately and annually.

9. The main expected results: In doing so, it is possible to promote awareness of their local cultures and traditional heritage in a number of countries at a time, to increase the number of tourists, and to have large tourism products and services. Also the participation of members of GTI LCC be increase actively and to carry out the publicity and promotion of Northeast Asia multi-destination tourism products.
