  1. qqH->qqWW->qqllnn Mehmet T. Zeyrek METU/Ankara & Texas Tech University JetsMet Meeting July 18, 2001

  2. Comments and Plans • Present studies concentrate only on leptons • CompHEP + PYTHIA is done. Forced proper decays of: • Signal : jjH; H->WW->llvv (l=e or m) • Bkgrnd : jjZ; Z-> tau tau -> llvv (l=e or m) • Bkgrnd : ttj: t->Wb; W->lv (l=e or m) • Understand Rainwater & Zeppenfeld analyses and the present one • Concentrate on jets next • Selection of tagging jets; identify optimized • cuts • Final ORCA analyses to be done later:

  3. Comments and Plans • Signal (Pythia) and (CompHEP), each 20K, digis in FNAL user federation • Recently found a bug in CompHep – Pythia interface; QCD scale for FSR was wrong !, fixed • Re-process signal (CompHEP) events • Process backgrounds; ttj Zjj ….

  4. Azimuthal opening angle

  5. Polar opening angle

  6. DR separation of leptons

  7. Dilepton invariant mass

  8. Max. lepton momentum
