Nivolumab is an injectable medication that works with your body’s immune system to combat certain types of cancer. Moreover, it may be used for the treatment of some types of melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer.

  2. What is the best way to take Nivolumab? It is imperative to consume Nivolumab as per your doctor's instructions. However, you must also follow these instructions closely: Nivolumab is given as an infusion into your vein over a period of time. Inform all your healthcare providers that you are taking Nivolumab and this includes doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists. Get your blood sugar checked as suggested by your doctor. If you are having stem cell transplant, discuss it with your doctor. Nivolumab may be used with another drug called ipilimumab. But some side effects that can occur when both the drugs are consumed. So if you are using ipilimumab, consult with your doctor about the risks and the side effects that might occur.

So, it is important to tell your doctor about the same. Change in levels of Salts and Minerals You might also experience a change in the level of minerals and salts in your blood, like potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphate. Apart from the above, side effects like eye problems, high heart rate, inflammation of the pancreas, and muscle weakness are some of the rare Nivolumab side effects that you must be well-apprised of.
