  3. 1 A HAPPY DAY What is the name of the story? What can you see in the picture? A Happy Day. Where are the teddy bears going? Make a guess. I can see a house and three teddy bears.

  4. 2 How many teddy bears are there in the park? Where are the teddy bears ? Yes, there are three teddy bears in the park. There are three teddy bears. They are in the park.

  5. There is a lemon tree. 3 No, the bears don’t like lemons. Lemons are sour. What can you see in the picture now ? Do the bears like lemons? I can see a lemon tree. How many lemons are there on the tree? There are nine lemons.

  6. There is an apple tree, too. 4 Yes, they like apples. They are sweet. Do the bears like apples? I can see an apple tree. What can you see in the picture?

  7. The bears put their apples in the baskets. 5 How many apples are there in the basket? There are five apples in the basket. They put the apples in the baskets. What do the bears do?

  8. 6 They are happy now. They like the apples very much. The bears are happy now. They have many apples. The bears are happy.

  9. Now complete the story with your partner.

  10. Then, read the story aloud to the class.
