History of HTML. HTML1.0: The first HTML specification was released by Tim Berners – Lee and the CERN team in 1992 and wad finalized in 1993. It was a very simple language. HTML2.0: It was released by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) in 1995 and was first official HTML standard.

  1. History of HTML HTML1.0: The first HTML specification was released by Tim Berners – Lee and the CERN team in 1992 and wad finalized in 1993. It was a very simple language. HTML2.0: It was released by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) in 1995 and was first official HTML standard. HTML3.0: It was compatible with HTML2.0 but also provided many new tags in year 1995. But it never became a standard.

  2. ..in continuation HTML3.2: It was officially the next version of HTML which was released by w3c (World Wide Web Consortium) in 1996. HTML4.0: It was released by W3C in 1997 with revision in 1998. HTML5: On 14 February 2011, the W3C extended the charter of its HTML Working Group with clear milestones for HTML5. It was first presented on January 2008.
