  3. 42” Taylor Gyro Crusher This unit was damaged when the turning bell bound up, cracking the case

  4. Shaker / Separator Conveyor belt feed approx. 3/4 mile long with blasted raw material

  5. 6” dia. to 2 cu. ft. material to be supplied to crusher

  6. Special tools being setup at work area

  7. Milling for locking devices on top flange Casting 7” thick

  8. Crack on underside of top flange The 26” long crack has gapped 1/4” to 5/16” wide

  9. Top flange has been machined to accept 3 sets (6 locks) ranging from 8” to 22” long & 2” to 6 1/2” wide & 1 1/2” thick

  10. Exterior metal locking on 36” of crack on upper flange

  11. 18 ft. dia. shrink ring prefabricated in Reynolds-French shop ready to lift (Two used)

  12. Shrink ring being positioned on top of crusher approx. 40 feet high

  13. Top shrink ring being lowered in place Note the tapped holes in the steel ring where jack bolts will be torqued after positioning ring

  14. This shows both steel shrink rings installed to take seismic loading Note cap over jack bolts torqued so bolts will not back off during vibration of operation

  15. Locks installed on top surface & crack repaired with 1 1/8” stitching bolts Chockfast Orange poured between ring and casting

  16. 8” locks, 2” thick on exterior and cracks stitched with 9/16” bolts Note all materials were furnished by Reynolds-French
