  2. The "Candlemas" is a Christian event which is celebrated on February 2nd, it is also called "Feast of the Purification of the Virgin Mary" and the Presentation of Jesus at the temple. On that day candles are blessed and distributed to the faithful to defend the people against disasters and storms. The candles symbolize Jesus Christ and the light of the world.
