  2. What is RefWorks? • Refworks organizes, edits and searches the bibliographic information (i.e. author, title, source) for references downloaded by the users. • Refworks can generate bibliographies in 200 styles including APA and MLA.

  3. How do I access RefWorks? http://refworks.scholarsportal.info • Online through a license purchased by the University of Ottawa library Network . • No need to download or purchase the software. • Easy access from off campus.

  4. How do I access RefWorks Register at the login screen. Your selected username and password will allow you to login from on and off campus.

  5. How can I import my references into Refworks? You can import the results of searches you conducted in databases available at the University of Ottawa directly into RefWorks RefWorks button available from the database.

  6. How can I import my references into Refworks? In several databases, you can download your results into Refworks using a generic export format.

  7. How can I import my references into RefWorks? Some database interfaces do not include a direct export function. You can save your results as ascii text and import them as files into RefWorks.

  8. How do I organize my references? • You can create foldersto organize your references

  9. Can I edit my references? Select “View Folder” to view the references in a specific folder and click on edit to add, modify or delete information in the reference.

  10. How do I create bibliographies? From the main menu, select “Bibliography”.

  11. How do I create bibliographies? Select the output format or style for your bibliography. Select the folder containing the references you wish to include and the file type. Create your bibliography.

  12. Managing your references in RefWorks. Search tools are available in RefWorks to help users find and manage their references. You can look up articles by author and periodical title. You can also find articles by keywords using the “Quick Search” option
