  2. Topics For Today • 2nd edition of WA Mines Survey Code; • Form to request a mine plan search; • Submit plans by web transfer; • Creating a DMP Single Sign On (Ex Account).

  3. WA Mines Survey Code 2nd Edition • Now available! • Get a hardcopy in the display area today or obtain it in pdf at www.dmp.wa.gov.au • Please read it and familiarise yourself.

  4. Form to Request a Mine Plan Search • Available at www.dmp.wa.gov.au • Form must be signed by a RM, EM or the mine owner OR accompanied by a letter of permission from one of these • AND request must be for safety purposes (eg. determining location of old workings). • Requests for other purposes (eg. a history project) or from other people must be made via Freedom of Information.

  5. Submit PDF Plans By Web Transfer • DMP has a new system called Managed File Transfer (MFT). • It is a “thin” web-based application. • Allows transfer of files between mine site customers and DMP. • Upload and download possible ie. to make submissions or to obtain searched plans. • Still fine to submit on CD if you prefer.

  6. Access and Generic Login • Detailed instructions are available in the display area outside. • MFT requires users to have a login and password and internet connection. • Presently there is a generic account and everyone can use this login. • For security purposes, DMP encourages surveyors to obtain their own logins (Single Sign On/Ex Account) .

  7. Your Files in MFT • You will see a folder for your login; • Double click to open; • Create folders, upload files or download files as required.

Tips • No drag and drop, use provided buttons. • Best to zip files first otherwise you will have to upload/download each one individually. • FAQ and help available. • Email DMP to inform that you have submitted – facilitates prompt follow up. • Obtain your own DMP Single Sign On (Ex Account) login for heightened security.

  12. Create a DMP Single Sign On Account • When you load the webpage for the Managed File Transfer system there is the option to create a Single Sign On account. • You will receive an ex-number. • You may already have an ex-number to access other DMP systems eg. Tengraph • You can use this existing number. • Contact Louise so that a folder can be set up for you in MFT.
