  4. Conclusion • There Were Lost Tapes, Movies, Articles about the jersey devil. Some have witnessed it flying, others have heard scratching and the sound of hooves on their cars and Rolfs. Claw marks are often discovered after many have reported strange noises • - My Thought is That The Jersey Devil Is Real Because Sights were so frequent, that schools were closed and people refused to venture outside • There Were Sightings and You Could Also hear Hooves on the Rolfs • He has haunted new jersey for 260 years. Since The 1700’s New jersey residents have described various encounters with the jersey devil • In 1903, Charles skinner, author of American myths and legends, claimed that the legend of the jersey devil had run it’s course that in the new century, NJ would hear more of the devil. New jersey rested easy with that thought for 6 years, until the week of January 16-23. 1909. during this week, the devil would leave his tracks all over south jersey and phil. He was seen by over 100 people. This was his largest appearance
