Work Values • Work Values are values belive are important in the area of work. • Do you value • Independence • Helping people • Making a lot of money • What you value will help determine what job you would enjoy and want to do when you graduate.
Economic Values • Economic Values are that are important in the area of money. • How important is money to your happiness? • Do you want a new home or would an existing one do? • Would you like to live in an apartment? • Does the make, model, and year of the car you drive matter?
Evaluate Your Values Assignment Values_________Where they come from__ Honesty church, parents Responsibility parents, school, work Caring grandma, mom, friend • Make a chart to determine where you get your values from. • On the right side of the chart write your values. • On the left side of the chart write where you got them. Use the example to the right to make your chart. • Use figure 1.3 on page 6 to help you list some of your values • You need to have 5 values listed on the chart to get full credit.
