LIGHT HOUSE BAG LUNCHES Michelle Marshall, Light House Staff member, updated the Missions Committee at their meeting on June 2. She reminded us of the special need for bag lunches in the summer, when there are few organizations available to help, and children are not getting subsidized school lunches. We are restarting our efforts to help, and plan to provide 50 lunches on Sunday, July 6, for distribution the following Monday. Susan Sienkiewich and Ron Burdge will be coordinating the effort. The lunches will consist of a sandwich, raisins, bottled water and an apple. As in the past, we need the congregations help. There will be a sign-up sheet at coffee hour to supply the following: Raisins – 1 oz individual packs Bottled Water (medium size, 16.9 oz) Apples The items are to be brought in on Sunday, July 6. Also, we need funds for the sandwich materials. We ask that you put your donation in the white offering envelops and mark LH Lunch. The congregation’s past strong support for this effort has been very much appreciated! Thank you!
New!! “Day by Day” group with David and Paula “Day by Day, day by day O dear Lord, three things I pray: To see thee more clearly Love thee more dearly Follow thee more nearly Day by Day” This ancient prayer describes the goal of a new group to be hosted the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of each month in Rev. and Mrs. Wentz’s home, the Trinity Parsonage. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will help each other grow closer to God, closer to each other, and closer to our full potential in Christ.
