  2. Miss Staley went to Israel and Jordan for Christmas. During her trip she encountered different currencies. Answer each question and keep track of how much Miss Staley spent. Show all work! • Miss Staley brought $520 and 32,000 rupees with her on the trip.

  3. #1 • Miss Staley got off the plane in Israel • and went to the money exchange • Counter to get shekels. • How many shekels did she get if she • Gave the cashier 10,000 rupees?

  4. #2 • During the first day, Miss Staley buys some bottled water, some chocolate  and some souvenirs for about $10. How many shekels is this?

  5. #3 • She stayed in a hotel in Jerusalem for four nights. Each night cost 284 shekels. She was running low on shekels so she paid in dollars. How many US dollars did Miss • Staley spend on the hotel • stay?

  6. #4 • After Jerusalem, she drove through the Negev Desert and spent some time at a Bedouin camp. They were giving camel rides for $15. How many shekels is this?

  11. #9 • After all that hiking, Miss Staley was tired so she went to a resort at the Dead Sea for one night. She spent 72 dinars on a hotel, 28 dinars for food, 14 dinars on salt scrub, and 51 dinars on a rug. How many dollars did she need to change to dinars to enjoy her • stay at the Dead Sea?

How many rupees does she have left over from the whole trip?
