Schizoid personality disorder • (SPD) is characterized by a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness, and apathy • Apathy is a state of indifference, or the suppression of emotions such asconcern,excitement, motivation and passion
Carbon monoxide poisoning • O is a product of incomplete burning of organic matter due to insufficient oxygen supply to enable complete oxidation to carbon dioxide (CO2) • It is often produced in domestic or industrial settings by older motor vehicles and other gasoline-powered tools, heaters, and cooking equipment. Exposures at 100 ppm or greater can be dangerous to human health • Sources of carbon monoxide include cigarette smoke, house fires, faulty furnaces, heaters, wood-burning stoves, internal combustion vehicle exhaust, propane-fueled equipment such as portable stoves, and gasoline-powered tools such as leaf blowers, lawn mowers, high-pressure washers
Kleptomania • is an irresistible urge to steal items of trivial value. such as pens, paper clips, paper and tape. • People with this disorder are likely to have a comorbid condition, specifically paranoid, schizoid or borderline personality disorder • Kleptomania can occur after traumatic brain injury and/or carbon monoxide poisoning. • Treatment • Psychoanalytic oriented psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and pharmacotherapy.
