TESTING!10th Grade • PLAN – December 7, 2013 • Career interest inventory and practice test for ACT • Register in the BCHS Counseling Center in late October • SAT II – Spring • One-hour test in specific subjects • Required by a small number of highly selective schools in addition to the SAT I • Register at www.collegeboard.com • Advanced Placement Exams (AP) – May • Advanced Placement Exams are required of all AP courses • IMPORTANT: If your student receives testing accommodations through an IEP or 504 Plan, they MUST apply for these accommodations directly to College Board and ACT. Forms are available in the Counseling Center
MORE TESTING!!11th Grade • PSAT – October 19, 2013 • Used as the qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship Program • Serves as a practice test for the SAT I • Some accelerated 10th graders may opt to take it • Register in the BHCS Counseling Center in mid September • SAT I – Spring of 11th grade and fall of 12th grade • College entrance exam—SAT I or ACT required by most colleges • Scores of 200-800 in Critical Reading, Math, and Writing • Register at www.collegeboard.com • SAT II – Spring • ACT – Spring of 11th and/or fall of 12th grade • College entrance exam—SAT I or ACT required by most colleges • Scores of 1-36 in Math Science Reasoning, English, and Reading with an optional Writing Section • Register at www.act.org • AP Exams– May
