O’Neal church of Christ in 2012 • We had • 6 Baptisms (5 M 1 F) • 114 Restored • We lost 7 members of the O’Neal congregation in death in 2012 • We also had 53 more closely connected to the O’Neal congregation pass from this life in 2012 ,for a total of 60 people either O’Neal congregation members or relatives die in 2012.

God speaks Loud and Clear: • 11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the Lord; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. • 12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord.

Look at their condition: • 13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. • 14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

  24. What does He say about thechurch of Christ? • 1. Rom. 16:16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ • Salute you. • 2. The church belongs to Christ. • Col. 1:18; Eph. 1:22,23 • 3. You must be in it for it is that body which Jesus will save. Acts 2:47 • ‘and the Lord added to the church • Daily such as should be saved.”

  25. What does He say aboutElders…? • Jesus put them over the body, the church. • ..Acts 20:28-31 • They are to ‘feed the church” • They are to take the oversight thereof. • We are to obey the Elders. Heb.13:17 • Every church needs elders. • Acts 14:23

  26. Can just any man be an elder?NO • 1. He must be a married man. • I Tim. 3:1-8; Titus 1:5-7 • 2. He must have a wife. • 3. He must have children. • 4. He must be held in good respect. • 5. He must be an example, a leader. • 6. He must take heed to himself.

  27. What does God say aboutpreachers? • 1. They are to be qualified. 2Tim.4:2 • 2. They must know the word, so that they can preach it. 2 Tim. 2:15 3. They must preach the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27-28 4. They must preach in season out of season. 2 Tim. 4:2 5. They must take heed to themselves. I Tim.4:16
