  2. Induction: eJournal Articles 2 • In this tutorial we will download articles from Elsevier Science Direct • The first step is to use the University Electronic Gateway • http://www.unn.ac.uk/central/isd/gateway.htm We will use this web address later in the show.

  3. What are we going to do? • We are going to download the following: • Frentzel W, Bryson J, and Crosby B (2000) Strategic Planning in the Military. The US Naval Security Group Changes its Strategy, 1992 – 1998, Long Range Planning, Vol. 33, pp.402 – 429.

  4. Passwords! • Check that you have an Elsevier Science Direct password before you proceed. • To get this you need to eMail • in.elec@unn.ac.uk, • supplying proof of identity e.g. student id number. They will reply to your university email address. • We will take youto the website in a moment. Just enjoy the showfor now!

  5. Type in the web address above if you don’t have a direct link. Then click on UNN electronic journal lists and searches.

  6. Type in the eJournal you’re looking for and click go.

  7. You have to log in and use your allocated password. Remember you can get this by emailing in.elec@unn.ac.uk. Then click on the relevant journal volume.

  8. Scroll down and select the relevant article. I want it in pdf so I click on that.

  9. If you want to save a pdf document you must click on the disk icon indicated. You will not save it if you use the ‘File’ ‘ Save As’ option in the drop down menu on the top left.

  10. Your go! Click Here to go to the eJournals
