Assessment ofThe Perks of being a Wallflower Jessica Hartman Eric Simon Nicholas Gibbons
How we Access Student Learning • During the Reading of the book we will take a Summative Assessment approach • This Assessment style will allow us to grade the Student on a day by day span of knowledge they gain on the reading • This can also allow us to find possible weakness during the course of the Students readings to help strategize for future quizzes or tests
Summative AssessmentFor Our Students • A daily quiz on the selected reading materials • Also having a mix of in-class discussions of the book • At the end of book reading we will have a Test to evaluate were the students stand at that point.
Standardized Testing • At the end of the book reading we will have a class Test of the whole book • The objective of this Standardized testing will allow us teachers to gain an understanding of the Students knowledge over the course of the reading • With the use of dailyquizzes the goal will be to prepare students to excel at the end of class on the Test provided
How we use technology to Build our Assessments • We can use technology to create online quizzes for the students to take • Applications such as Quibblo, and Quiz Maker we allow us to make these Assessments daily and allow students to see their progression on each quiz
