The Stages of a Flower By: Emily Serafini
A flower is able to reproduce through pollination. Flowers can be pollinated from the aid of wind, water or insects. Seeds are produced from this fertilization process. The appearing seedling will keep on growing taller and produce leaves. The plant will mature and begin to generate flowers. Seed Germination Growth Reproduction Dispersal When all needs are met, the seed will begin to germinate. In this stage, roots start growing downwardand a stem will soon appear growing up through the surface. This is when the flower will inevitably die. The dry fertilized seeds will be released into the area or taken away from the birds, insects or wind. Then, this cycle repeats itself all over again. Seeds come in all shapes, sizes, and types. Seeds remain “asleep” in the soil until they are given the required warmth, oxygen and water to germinate.
