  2. Library Visits LIBRARY HOURS – 8:00 – 3:00 • Language Arts Classes - every two weeks • May come during the day with teacher permission or 7th period • During break if time permits

Checking out a book or magazine • Sign in at the circulation desk & leave pass on desk • After locating book, bring it to the circulation desk • Scan book and get a date due card (blue/white) • After checking out your book, sign out and don’t forget to get your pass off of the circulation desk • If you take a book off the shelf, put it right back where you got it. • If you don’t know where the books goes on the shelf, bring it to the desk

  4. Library Fine Magazine - 1 week checkout - white card Books – 2 week checkout – blue card • If your book is overdue, a fine is assessed…five cents a day • You must pay for your book if you lose it

Abridged – shortened version of the book Biography - a written account of a person’s life by someone other than that person Call Number - the unique numbers and letters given to each item in a library used to identify and locate the item Check in - the process of returning a borrowed library book to the library Check out - the process of borrowing a book from the library Circulation Desk - the area of the library that checks books in and out of the library
