What can parents do to help? • Parents are urged to talk to their children about sexting and the consequences. • Cell phone company's have set up parent controls to monitor their cell phone use.
Parents educate teens • A new program has come out to help educate teens on sexting • If teens know all the facts, and teens feel closer to there parents they are not going to sext as much.
so popular? • 39% of kids have said they sent one • 48 % said they received them. • At the age we are it is considered flirting to sext.
Felony or kids being kids? • The trick to determining sexting for a lawyer is if it is just a kid being a kid or a real felony? • Adolescence is a time of engaging in risky behavior but with technology a click a way it makes it harder. • Teens have to remember once they send the picture it turns out of there hands.
