  2. Why I chose it • I know some people who ride motorcycles • Many lives could have been saved each year if people would have worn their helmets. • Wisconsin doesn’t have a helmet law.

  3. What I did • Sent it to all my friends on Facebook; they spread it to their friends, etc, etc. • I wrote a petition to get a helmet law passed. • I put up some posters around my neighborhood.

  4. Statistics • Helmets stop approximately 37% of potentially fatal injuries. • In 1998, 327 lives could have been saved by helmets; 500 lives were saved by helmets

  5. Some visible results • I’ve seen more people on motorcycles wearing helmets. • Some of my Facebook friends are now wearing their helmets more consistently
