2. Strict Rules and Conditions of Exchange – Violations will result in student´s immediate return home. 01 - Laws of the Host Country – Obey, if found guilty of violation of any law, student can expect no assistance from their sponsors or their native country. Student will be returned home as soon as he/she is released by authorities. 02 - Drugs - The student is not allowed to posses or use illegal drugs. Medicine prescribed by a doctor is allowed. 03- Motorized vehicle - The student is not authorized to operate any kind which requires a federal/state/provincial licence or participate in driver education programs. 04 - Alcoholic beverages - The illegal drinking is expressly forbidden. Students who are legal age should refrain. If the host family offers a student an alcoholic drink, it is permissible to accept it under their supervision in their home. 05 - Stealing is prohibited. There are no exceptions. Normas para intercâmbio Violação das mesmas resultará em repatriamento imediato do (a) estudante 01 - Leis do país anfitrião – Obedecer, se for declarado culpado (a) da violação de qualquer lei do país anfitrião, o (a) estudante não deverá contar com qualquer assistência de seus patrocinadores ou de seu país natal. O (a) estudante será repatriado assim que for colocado em liberdade pelas autoridades locais. 02 - Drogas - O (a) estudante é proibido de consumir ou portar drogas ilegais. Esta norma não se aplica a medicamentos receitados por um médico. 03 - Veiculo motorizado - O (a) estudante não pode dirigir nenhum que exija licença federal /estadual /provincial ou participar de cursos para motoristas. 04- Bebidas alcoólicas - Consumo ilegal é expressamente proibido. Estudantes maiores de idade devem evitar bebidas alcoólicas. Se a família anfitriã oferecer uma bebida alcoólica ao (à) estudante, é permitido aceitá-la, desde que seja consumida sob a supervisão da família e dentro de sua casa. 05 - Roubar é crime passivel de punição. Não há exceção a essa regra.

3. 06 - Insurance - The student must be covered by a life and health policy agreeable to the Hosting District . 07 - School - he student must attend regularity and make an honest attempt to succeed. 08 - Rules and conditions - The student must abide the conditions of exchange of the Hosting District provided to you by the District Youth Exchange Committee. 09- Travel - Unauthorized travel is not allowed. Students must follow the travel rules of the Host District._____________________________________ Travel Rules A - Inside District 4310 - Authorization of host parents and host Club Counselor or YEO. B - Outside District 4310 – with host parents – Authorization of host club YEO. C - Outside District 4310, alone or with friends – Authorization of host parents, Club YEO and YEP Chairman. D - Tours with Authorized Company – Belotour & Terra Brasil - Authorization of host parents, Club YEO and natural parents. E - Don´t travel - “Tours” in the first 3 months and in the May/ June when we have our District Conference. 06– Seguro - O (a) estudante deve estar coberto (a) por uma apólice de seguro de vida e saúde aceita pelo distrito anfitrião. 07- Escola - O (a) estudante deve freqüentar suas aulas com assiduidade e fazer todo o possível para ser bem sucedido (a). 08 - Normas e condições - O (a) estudante deve obedecer todas asde intercâmbio do distrito anfitrião conforme apresentadas pela comissão distrital de Intercâmbio de Jovens. 09- Viagens - É proibido sem autorização . Os (as) estudantes devem seguir as normas de viagem estabelecidas pelo Distrito anfitrião. ________________________________________ Regras para Viagens A - Dentro do Distrito 4310 – Autorização dos pais hospedeiros e do Conselheiro do Club ou Oficial de intercâmbio do Clube Hospedeiro. B - Fora do Distrito 4310 – com pais hospedeiros – Autorização do Conselheiro ou Oficial de Intercâmbio do Clube. C - Fora do Distrito 4310 – sòzinho ou com amigos – Autorização dos pais hospedeiros, oficial de intercâmbio do Clube e do Chairman. D – Tours - em Companhias autorizadas - Belotour & Terra Brasil - Autorização dos pais anfitriãs, oficial de intercâmbio do Clube e dos pais naturais E - Não viajar “Tours” nos primeiros 3 meses e no mês de Maio/Junho quando temos nossa Conferência Distrital.

4. 1 – Smoking is discouraged . If you state in your application that you do not smoke, you will be held to that position throughout your year. Your acceptance and host family placement is based on your signed statement. Under no circunstances are you to smoke in your Host Family´s bedrooms. 2 - Become an integral part of the Host Family, assuming duties and responsibilities normal for a student of your age and other children in the family. Respect your host´s wishes. 3 – Learn the language of your host country. The effort will be appreciated by teachers, host parents, Rotary Club members and others you meet in the community. It will go a long way in your gaining acceptance in the community and those who will become lifelong friends. 4 – Attend Rotary-sponsored and host family events. Show an interest in the host family and Rotary activities to which your are invited. Volunteer to get involved, do not wait to be asked. Lack of interest on your part is detrimental to your exchange and can have a negative impact on future exchanges. 1 – Fumar deve ser evitado a todo custo. Se você declarou que não fuma em sua inscrição, deverá permanecer não-fumante durante todo ano do programa. O processo de aceitação e designação de uma família anfitriã é baseado em suas declarações assinadas. Fumar nos quartos de dormir de sua família anfitriã é expressamente proibido. 2 – Torne-se um elemento integral de sua família anfitriã, assumindo tarefas e responsabilidades normais para um (a) estudante de sua idade e outros adolescentes da família. Respeite a vontade de seus anfitriões. 3 – Aprenda o idioma de seu país anfitrião. Esse esforço será imensamente apreciado pelos professores, pais anfitriões, rotarianos e outros na comunidade. Isso facilitará imensamente sua aceitação na comunidade e por aqueles que se tornarão seus amigos para sempre. 4 – Compareça aos eventos patrocinados pelo Rotary e aos de sua família anfitriã. Demonstre interesse pelas atividades rotárias ou familiares às quais houver sido convidado (a). Demonstre interesse em participar. Não espere até ser convidado. A falta de interesse de sua parte pode prejudicar o intercâmbio e gerar conseqüências negativas para outros no futuro Common Sense Rules and Conditions of Exchange – Violation will result in a district review and restrictions. Severe/ Consistent disregard for these rules will result in being returned home.Normas de Bom Senso para o Intercâmbio – Violação das mesmas resultará em uma avaliação e restrições aplicadas pelo distrito. Violação continua dessas regras resultará em repatriamento.

5. 5 – Get involved in your school and community activities. Plan your recreation and spare time acitivities around your school and community friends. Do not spend all your time with the other exchange students. 6 – Choose friends in the community carefully. Ask for and heed the advice of host families, counselors and school personnel in choosing friends. 7 – Do not borrow money. Pay any bills you incur promptly. Ask permission to use the family telephone, keep trak of long distance calls and reimburse your host family each month for the calls you make. 8 – Travel is permitted with host parents or for Rotary Club or district functions authorized by the hosting Rotary Club or District with proper adult chaperones. Other travel must be approved by host District contact, host club, host family and student´s own parents/legal guardians in writing exempting Rotary of responsibility and liability. Students may not travel alone or accompanied only by other students. 5 – Participe de atividades escolares e comunitárias. Programe suas atividades recreativas sempre com seus colegas e amigos em mente. Não dedique todo o seu tempo a outros estudantes de intercâmbio. 6 – Tenha cuidado ao escolher seus novos amigos na comunidade. Solicite e acate conselhos e orientação da família anfitriã, dos conselheiros e do pessoal da escola, quanto à seleção de amizades. 7 – Não peça dinheiro emprestado. Pague imediatamente quaisquer contas que tenha assumido. Solicite permissão para usar o telefone de sua família, mantenha registro de suas chamadas de longa distancia e reembolse sua família anfitriã mensalmente pelas chamadas que fizer. 8 - E permitido viajar com os pais anfitriões, ou a uma função de Rotary Clube do Distrito, quando autorizado pelo Rotary Club ou Distrito anfitrião e acompanhado por adultos. Outras viagens exigem a aprovação do contato do Distrito anfitrião, da família anfitriã e dos pais/responsáveis do (a) estudante. Essa autorização deve ser concedida por escrito isentando o Rotary de qualquer responsabilidade. Estudantes de intercâmbio não podem viajar sós ou acompanhados apenas de outros estudantes.

6. 9 – If you are offered an opportunity to go on a trip or to an event, make sure you understand any costs you must pay and your responsibilities before you go. 10 – You must show proof of proper immunization. See page 4, question 5 – Immunizations (application). 11 – Students should have sufficient financial support to assure their well-being during the exchange year. Your hosting district may require a contingency fund for emergency situations. It must be replenished by the student´s parents/guardians as it is depleted. Unused funds at the end of the exchange will be returned to the student. These funds must be turned over to your Host Rotary Club upon your arrival and is not meant to cover day-to-day expenses. 12 – Any costs relative to a student´s early return home or any other unusual costs ( e.g., language tutoring, tours, etc.) shall be the responsibility of the student´s own parents/guardians. 13 – Students must return home directly by a route mutually agreeable to the host district and student´s parents/guardians. 14 – You will be under the Hosting District´s authority while you are an exchange student. Parents/guardians must avoid authorizing any extra activities directly to their son/daughter. The host Club and District Youth Exchange Officers must authorize such activities. If the student has relatives in the host country or region, they will have no authority over the student while the student is in the program. 9 - Se você for convidado(a) para participar de um passeio ou evento especial, certifique-se de entender os custos que deverá assumir, bem como suas responsabilidades, antes de aceitar o convite. 10– Você deve apresentar os certificados de imunização apropriados. Consulte a página 4, pergunta 5 – imunizações (do application). 11 – Os (as) estudantes devem dispor de apoio financeiro suficiente para assegurar seu bem-estar durante o ano do intercâmbio. Seu Distrito anfitrião poderá exigir o estabelecimento de um fundo especial para situações de emergência. A manutenção desse fundo será de responsabilidade dos pais/responsáveis do (a) estudante. 12 – Quaisquer custos decorrentes de retorno antecipado ao país de residência ou outros pouco comuns ( ex.: aulas de idioma, excursões, etc) serão de responsabilidade dos país/responsáveis do (a) estudante. 13 – Estudantes de intercâmbio devem retornar diretamente a seu país de residência por rota mutuamente aceita pelo distrito anfitrião e pelos pais/responsáveis do (a) estudante. 14 – Você estará sob a autoridade do distrito anfitrião durante seu ano como estudante de intercâmbio. Os pais/responsáveis devem evitar conceder autorização direta ao (à) filho (a) para qualquer atividade extra. Cabe aos dirigentes do clube anfitrião e da Comissão Distrital de Intercâmbio de Jovens autorizar tais atividades. Parentes do(a) estudante que por acaso viverem no país anfitrião não têm qualquer autoridade sobre esse (a) estudante.

7. 15 – Visits of your parents/guardians, siblings and/ or friends while you are in the program are strongly discouraged. Such visits may only take place with the host club and host district´s consent and only within the last quarter of the exchange or during school breaks. Visits are not allowed during major holidays, even if occurring during school breaks. 16 – Avoid serious romantic activity. Abstain from sexual activity and promiscuity. 17 – Don´t get a lift of unknown people, it might be dangerous 18 - Avoid: Fights (brigas) ; Extreme Sports ( as Box, Karate, Asa Delta, etc) ; Casino Games; Tatoos (tatuagens) ; Piercings. 15 – Visitas dos pais/responsáveis, parentes e/ou amigos, durante o período do programa devem ser evitadas a todo custo. Tais visitas só podem ocorrer quando aprovadas pelo clube e distrito anfitriões durante o último trimestre do intercâmbio ou período de ferias escolares. Tais visitas não são permitidas durante feriados importantes, mesmo que ocorram em época de folgas escolares. 16 - Evite namoros sérios. Abstenha-se de qualquer atividade sexual ou promíscua. 17 – Não pegue carona de desconhecidos, pode ser perigoso 18 – Evite: brigas; esportes violentos ( como Box, Karate, Asa Delta, etc); Apostas em dinheiro, Tatuagens e Piercings.

8. Must be avoided ( Deve ser evitado) No Drive Cassino Games (Jogar a dinheiro) NoFights (Brigas) No Romantic Attachments (Namoro)

9. Violation of any of these prohibitions is grounds for immediate separation from the program. Using drugs of any kind except prescribed by a physician for valid medical reasons Marihuana is considered drug in Brazil No Drugs No Alcohol

12. Tour Trips • It’s possible with natural and host parents authorization , own expenses, and in the authorized firm • Visits of relatives are strongly recomended only after six months. • Trips to places out of the District, alone, need to be approved by the, host parents, club officer and district YEP Chairman • Tour Trips are not allowed in the early three months and in the Mai/June.
