  1. DUEITT MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2014

  2. Please stand for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  3. Please remain standing for the Texas Pledge: Honor the Texas flag: I pledge allegiance to thee Texas, one state, under God, one and Indivisible. Please be seated for a moment of silence

  4. TCMS will host their first annual GT EXPO on May 6th from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. All middle school students from across the district are invited.

  5. The National Junior Honor Society will meet in Mr. Britton's room this Thursday afternoon.  This meeting and service project will last until 5:30.  Please plan to attend as we will be planning the Spring induction ceremony and completing a school service project.  See youThursday in room 2802.

  6. 8th grade Career students can pick up a permission slip for a 1/2 day field trip on Tuesday, April 29 to the Nagy Pavilion for Earth Day activities. This trip is sponsored by the Career & Technical Education department. Buses will leave at 9:00 on the 29th and return at 11:30. See Ms. Baskin (Rm. 1802) for a permission form. ALL forms must be returned by Friday, April 25th. First 40 students to return their permission slip will be allowed to attend.

  7. Tardies: Policy • Warning • Lunch Detention • 1 hr Detention • 2 hr Detention • 1 day of EC Each tardy over five will accumulate extra days of EC. Please be mindful to be on time!

  8. MORNING PROCEDURES A few reminders about the morning • Once you are on campus, you must stay on campus. • Park bicycles behind the school, but you must come back to the front. No other students are allowed behind the school. • No playing football, racing, etc. in front of the school.

  9. "Are you a 6th or 7th grader who wanted to join band but never got the chance? It is NOT to late! Come and talk to a band director today about trying out instruments and getting in the correct class! Mr. Gonzales or Mrs. Maloy are happy to help you find a place for you in the award winning Dueitt Eagle Band!"

  10. TOMORROW FOR STAAR • All students should come tomorrow in their standardized dress attire. There are no exceptions to the dress code for testing. • Please do not bring blankets & pillows.
