  4. Refining Essay Writing Skills • Different types of essays have their own purposes and require certain styles and tones. • Printed writing resources ( by Jamestown and many others) are available for checkout at our reception desk.

  6. Use creditable sources accessible through the library’s academic search engines. Go to www.go.Daytona State.edu/library/ for journals and articles. Plan to attend one of the ASC’s helpful workshops on MLA formatting and citation style. Ask your instructor to schedule an MLA workshop for your class.
