    2. 9 May 2007 ELCA AGM 2007 2 Revision of EN81-1/2:1998 Aspects to be considered when reviewing Lift Directive 95/16/EC and Guide (1) Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Annex I (ESR) (2) Others (3) Risk assessment methodology acc. to ISO 14798 Global Essential Safety Requirements (ISO/TS22559-1) and Parameters (ISO/TS22559-2) for lifts, elaborated by ISO/TC178 (4) Environmental aspects (Checklist, Annex, see CEN Guide 4) Structure according to CEN Guide 414 Reconsider building related issues (5) Experience gained with EN81 New Structure of the EN81 family of Standards CEN/TR81-10 (6)

    4. 9 May 2007 ELCA AGM 2007 4 Aspects to be considered (2) Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Reconsider relevant new points related to ESRs 1) First assessment (not confirmed) 1.1.2 Risks of installation and dismantling 1.1.5 Risks caused by falling over during transportation 1.4.2.1 Fixing of guards/protection (Fixing systems must remain attached to the guards or to the machinery when the guards are removed) 4.1.2.8.2 Access to the carrier (difference in level between the carrier and the landing being served shall not create a risk of tripping) 1) Some important alignments now under study might have to be done immediately

    8. 9 May 2007 ELCA AGM 2007 8 Aspects to be considered (6) New Structure of the EN81 family CEN/TR 81-10 Taken Resolution - Brussels 015/2006 EN 81-1 and 2 will both be incorporated in EN 81-20 Passenger and goods passenger lifts, and in EN 81-50 Examinations, calculations and tests of lift components All interpretations will be incorporated in only one technical specification CEN/TS 81- 11 Revision of CEN/TR 81-10:2003 accordingly

Emergency lighting in the machinery spaces? etc
