Water Management for Agriculture APSVC (Automatic Pump and Solenoid valve controller) is SMS based system by which 10 distant water pumps / solenoid valves can be controlled and monitored by a mobile phone. Because of its modularity this system is expandable. APSVC system can be connected to the existing starter mechanism of the water pump and needs mobile connectivity for its operation. With the help of Android mobile Apps it is very simple and easy to operate. Even any illiterate person can use our system irrespective of age, gender, education. He can understand the on-off status of the water pumps and valves. (Pump ON, Pump Off, SV ON, SV OFF) 3. He can be alerted SMS if anybody opens the starter panel doors. (Panel Opened) 4. He can be alerted about power supply status. (Power ON, Power OFF, Power Faulty) 5. Scheduler Facility for ON/OFF according to timings set. 6. Farmer can get message in cases of Dry run 7. RTC failure detection Manual Operation: Manual operation facility is available in case of emergency or failure of mobile connectivity. Why APSVC is needed? Distant locations of the water pumps, solenoid valves and irregular power due to load shedding, there is tendency to avoid the trips to the pumps by keeping them in continuous ON mode by direct methods like Auto Switches, Automatic Starters and sometimes by "bypassing" the overload relays of the starter. Hence, the water pumps are not switched off post needs. Though they understand that this is harmful to their water pumps, the emergency need of water makes them taking the risk of direct running of water pump and then due to challenges they are not switched off post needs. Also sometimes it is needed to route water to different areas of field so that enough water do not damage your crop. To get rid of irritating trips to the pumps, farmers need a simple solution to access and operate the water pumps from the remote locations. APSVC has been developed with this view in mind to enable the farmers to remotely access the water pumps by simple, low cost and convenient method. Working: APSVC comprises of above blocks SMPS : 24vdc output is essential for operation of PLC and GSM Modem. An optional external battery can be provided. PLC : Programmable logic controller is the heart of APSVC. As compared to microcontroller PLC's are much rugged and reliable. Relay/Contactor for switching of Pumps and solenoid valves.
