A. Contentment Defined • “Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God’s wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.” • Resting in God in any circumstance because we find our satisfaction in Christ
B. Contentment Challenged • We are fallen creatures in a fallen world • We are deeply affected by the Fall whether or not we realize or admit it. • This is true even for those who are saved for we are not yet perfected
