  3. In the Gospel of Matthew (5:3-12) Jesus delivered the ‘Sermon on the mount’ to a group of followers. In the sermon, he taught them eight “beatitudes” as well as the Lord’s Prayer among other lessons. Beatitude comes from the Latin word beatitudo meaning: Blessed

  23. The beatitudes are similar to the ten commandments in that they are directions for us on the road to happiness. What is the difference? Hint: “You shall not…”
