Long-term Goals • Stronger interagency working relationships; • Realistic and effective water quality regulations; • An infrastructure of competent service providers and community development professionals who can assist producers and watershed communities to meet their environmental, regulatory and economic objectives. CIWM Objectives • Improve regional communication and coordination among land grant university extension educators and researchers working on community development to address water quality and other environmental issues; • Facilitate a regional network of extension and agency personnel with knowledge and skills to manage conflict and conduct public deliberation when dealing with watersheds; Heartland
