Proposal for a Regulation on "Guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure" Connecting Europe Facility – Energy infrastructure Efficient and well integrated infrastructure Efficient and well-functioning market Latvia submitted following projects for the PCI list: • 3rd stage of “Kurzeme ring” (electricity) • Latvian-Estonian 3rd interconnection (electricity) • Reconstruction and modernization of Inčukalns UGS (underground gas storage) • Construction of regional LNG terminal

Energy infrastructure -Gas Reconstruction and modernization of Inčukalns UGS • Modernization 191 M EUR, expansion 360 M EUR • Objectives: To increase security of supply in the Baltic Sea region; After completion of interconnections between PL-LT and EE-FI, diversification of supply rotes and counterparts. Construction of regional LNG terminal • Currently under discussion on regional level • Objectives: To increase security of supply in the Baltic Sea region, to eliminate dependency from one single supplier and diversify sources.

Energy infrastructure -Gas Reconstruction and modernization of Inčukalns UGS • Modernization 191 M EUR, expansion 360 M EUR • Objectives: To increase security of supply in the Baltic Sea region; After completion of interconnections between PL-LT and EE-FI, diversification of supply rotes and counterparts. Construction of regional LNG terminal • Currently under discussion on regional level • Objectives: To increase security of supply in the Baltic Sea region, to eliminate dependency from one single supplier and diversify sources.
