  1. Key Things You Need To Know About Insomnia Insomnia is defined as a sleep disorder which affects millions of people all across the world. While some find it very difficult to fall asleep, others find it challenging to stay asleep. According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, it is said that adults at least require 7 to 9 hours of sleep every day. Although the figure might vary depending on the age, but it should be close to the said sleeping hours. Research recently found that more than 25% of the people in the United States are suffering from insomnia; however of these, 75% of them do not have any long term health issues. Short term insomnia is more common because it leads to difficulty in concentration and daytime lethargy and some other related cardiac and gastric diseases. What does it mean to be insomniac? As said, it is a condition where the person suffers from sleeping disabilities. They may also consistently have a problem in staying asleep for a long time and waking up too early.
