Bell Work: Parallel Circuits In a parallel circuit the _____ drop is the same throught each branch. At each junction, the _______ splits up. The _______ through individual resistors add up to the total. As you add more resistors in parallel, the resistance goes ( up / down ). As you add more resistors in series, the resistance goes ( up / down ).
Today: • Many of you have not turned in Ohm’s Law Lab. • You have until Wednesday, Feb 22nd to complete any missing work from the first 6 weeks or to make other arrangements with me. • Parallel Circuit lab: • Get your voltage like usual. • Let me check the current setup before plugging in your circuit – we are using a different setting (10A) which requires you to move one of the plugs to the 10A socket. • Work on the parallel practice problems while waiting for me to circulate.
