Background • Ordinance 2007-09, Section 8 • Effective April 17th, 2007 • There shall be a service charge established by resolution for the preparation of a written confirmation of a lien search for the determination of whether a property has any liens owed to the City and amounts owed, if any. • Current Procedure • No charge • Less than 3 business day turn around • Lien payoff request system put in place in January 2010 • Number of Lien Requests • FY 2013 to date 7,499 • FY 2012 8,349 • FY 2011 5,111 • FY 2010 (Jan. – Sept.) 3,011
