Logarithmic phase cells were exposed to PDX or PDX with PBCD for 3 hrs and IC50 values in each case determined after further growth in PBCD for 96 hrs. • The murine Lewis Lung, human LX-1 lung, A549 NSC lung, PC-3 and TSU-PR1 prostate and MX-1 breast tumors were transplanted sc in BD2F1 (Lewis Lung) or NCR-nu (human tumors) mice. • Mice with well established tumors were treated ip with an MTD of PDX (60 mg/kg) or PDX (60 mg/kg) and PBCD (125 mg/kg) q3-4d x 4. • Treated and control mice were evaluated for tolerance and efficacy (tumor size) during and up to 10 days after treatment.
