  3. Vision Together, the agencies seek out opportunities to leverage and find innovative ways to build on strategic planning activities undertaken by all three organizations in the best interest of improving the quality of care in the community.

Guiding Principles of Engagement • Work related to the this collaboration will be linked to and will build on local system development work to date • Where possible, existing structures/forums will be used for planning and implementation • Early and consistent stakeholder engagement will be a key element of all projects • Planning and implementation will be collaborative and will engage representatives from all impacted stakeholder groups • Each area of work will be informed by intelligence from both local and other jurisdictional work

Progress to Date Project requirement: Identify resources and project objectives Project requirement: Conduct an interview with, and work closely with, the project leadership team, to finalize objectives and review existing strategic plans for each organization Project Requirement: Facilitate a workshop of key members from each organization to identify priority opportunities based on strategic plans

Engagement • Part 1: Identify Resources and Project Objectives • Steering Committee formed to coordinate project • Request for Proposal -ICA Associates Inc. selected • MH CCAC to provide secretariat for Steering Committee • Part 2: Conduct an interview with project community providers, to finalize objectives and review existing strategic plans • Reviewed strategic plans • Part 3: Facilitate workshop to identify priority opportunities • Half day planning session held December 13 • Identified priorities • Part 4: Review of Report • Report shared with all Metamorphosis participants • Consultation with MH & CW LHINs • CCAC Boards have received/reviewed the Report

Progress to Date • Fifty-three areas of strategic focus • Eight areas of strategic synergy: • Communicating partnership principles • Generating efficiencies for community investment • Ensuring coordination of the electronic client record initiatives • Sharing planning for diverse/ marginalized populations • Building system leadership through collaboration and integration • Building an engaged and supportive employee pool • Sharing quality improvement and best practices • Improving and building services transition for clients

Refinement of Priorities • Back office Integration: Central West CCAC • Establish Working Group • Members of organizations who expressed interest in the Back Office integration project at March 30th Metamorphosis meeting have been invited to participate on the working group • Operational structure to support • CW CCAC will lead the project

Next Steps: • Back office Integration: Central West CCAC • Working group will determine opportunities for integration, i.e., HR, Finance, IT • Leverage existing infrastructure and partnerships • Determining Opportunities or Models for integration and initiate a pilot • Exploring opportunities for funding support for back office integration from the Ministry of Finance

Next Steps: Leveraging technology: Metamorphosis CSP Portal Development and MH&CW LHIN initial financial support 2012-13 CSP Portal Governance Oversight Committee development and status Identification of regional, provincial and national technology leverage opportunities Development of a common IT/IM strategy for HSPs
