TSW3070 ARB WAVEFORM GENERATION

Follow these steps to set up waveform generation using DAC5682Z GUI load. Connect hardware correctly, load required settings, and start waveform playback in HSDC Pro for accurate output. Make sure the DAC status shows "Connected to DAC5682Z EVM" for proper configuration.

  2. HARDWARE REQUIRED • TSW3070EVM • TSW1400EVM • 6V power supply for TSW3070EVM • 5V power supply for TSW1400EVM • Mini USB cable for TSW1400EVM • USB A to B cable for TSW3070EVM • SMA cable for applying clock signal • SMA to BNC for connecting TSW3070EVM output to Oscope

  3. Hardware setup USB A to B FOR TSW3070EVM 5V for TSW1400EVM 6V for TSW3070EVM Output to Oscope Clock signal 500MHz 6dBm Mini usb for TSW1400EVM

  4. DAC5682Z GUI LOAD • If board is connected correctly, status will indicate “Connected to DAC5682Z EVM!” • Click “Register Config”

  5. DAC5682Z GUI Load Cont… Step 2 Step 1 • Step 1 – click “Load Regs” under CDCM7005 tab and select “CDCM7005_4x.txt” • Step 2 – click “Load Regs” under DAC5682Z tab and select “DAC5682Z_4x.txt”

  6. Setup DAC in HSDC Pro • Launch HSDC Pro, select Serial Number (DAC Capture Card) • Click OK

  7. Setup DAC in HSDC Pro • Select the “DAC5682Z” from the FW dropdown • Click OK to load the FW

  8. Setup DAC in HSDC Pro • Go back to the DAC GUI and click the DLL reset radio button twice • The DLL light should turn from red to green

  9. Setup DAC in HSDC Pro • Set “Data Rate” to “125M” and “DAC Option” to “2’s Complement”

  10. Setup DAC in HSDC Pro Step 1 Step 2 • Step 1 – Click “Load External Pattern File” • Step 2 – Select “DAC5682z customer pattern file.csv” and click OK

  11. Setup DAC in HSDC Pro • Click Send to start waveform playback

  12. DAC5682Z GUI Load Cont… Go Back to DAC GUI and toggle software sync radio button
