Now evenbelief in something for whichthere is noevidence, i.e. a beliefwhichgoesbeyond the evidence, although a lesser sin thanbelief in somethingwhich is contrary to well-establishedlaws, is plainly irrational in that it simplyamounts to attachingbeliefwhere it is not justified.
