  3. Activity 1 What is the first thing you need to consider when wanting to work with children? Get into pairs – 10 minutes to discuss. Feedback to group in pairs.

  4. Safeguarding • C.R.B. (Criminal record bureau) • Right to work.

  5. Activity 2 • Are you ready to learn? • Is this the right time for you? • What would be the barriers for you? Discuss and feedback as a whole group.

  6. Activity 3 • Mini Assignment. You have been informed that you will be looking after 6 children within this room. Go back into your pairs look around the room identify any health and safety issues. (risk assessment) Feedback to whole group in pairs.

  7. Activity 4 • What would you do if a child fell over? • Get into pairs discuss – 10minutes. • Feedback to whole group in your pairs.
