INTRODUCTION • He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva • (Vayu) wind GOD was also his guardian • Born to Anjana & Kesari (earthly parents) • Name that he was given was Maruti at birth • He mistaken the Sun to be a ripen fruit • He had leaped into the solar system to swallow it. • Lord Indra may have beleived that he was being attacked by Lord Hanuman

INTRODUCTION • He use a Brahma Sutra (celestial weapon) • Struck Maruti down, he fell a great distance towards Earth. • Lord Vayu, captured him before his fall. • Lord Vayu, became distressed/angered and removed the air, thereby removing the life force of all creation. • This sparked the attention of Lord Brahma, and all the celestial GODS.

INTRODUCTION • The had imparted tremendous blessing onto Maruti which made him very powerful and eventually eternal. • He was then called Hanuman, and was now prepared for his life’s mission. • He became a great devotee of LORD RAMA • And lived his entire life in serving the LORD • He is known as the greatest devotee that have ever served the LORD.
