  1. Key Club, NHS, FBLA, Interact, and Band Boosters Broad Run’s 5K Color Run

  2. What is the Color Run and what have we done so far? • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EERSfHiqT8 • May 17th! • All the legalities and permits!

  3. Key Clubs Role • The color powder • Baked goods, fruit, water bottles, juice, bagels, spreads, and other breakfast/race-related foods. All products containing nuts or traces of nuts should be marked clearly. This will be sold on the day of the race! • Advertising • Business Sponsorships • Recruiting Runners

  4. Business Sponsorship • Look into places like Supermarkets and food chains (ex. Panera) • For every business sponsorship/donation you receive, you will earn 2 hours; Max 6 hours!

  5. How exactly do you approach a Business? • Call ahead and make an appointment with the general manager or owner • Travel in groups of 2- harder to say no to two people than one! • Go over the letter and the purpose of the run • Money can only be handle by teachers, all checks must be payable to BRHS and one of the advisers will come pick up the check. You CANNOT handle the check!! • You may bring in gift certificates or other donations. A copy of the letter donation form section must accompany the donation.

  6. Keep in Touch • Email Aanal& cc Ms. Hansen: • (1) With the name of the business you would like to contact for approval • (2) After approval, email the day you contact the business • (3) Email the day you follow up with a business • (4) Email the day you receive a commitment • Include the date & how you met or spoke with them, & include details about your discussion.
