What’s New • On-Line Effort Certification w/ Education Component • Roll out July 15 for 2006 Sp/Sm Grad Student • Also available for 2006 Annual Certifications – official ‘kick off’ will be September 15th • Certify to100% of what a person does at UM, not FTE • Automatic email to Admin Contact • If certifier is unsure of accuracy • When change to DBE for period already certified
Who Certifies? • Paid from a sponsored award, or • Paid from Cost Sharing related to a sponsored award, or • Paid from more than one functional activity (i.e. Instruction and Department Administration)

Alternate Signer • ONLY when Extenuating Circumstance – Must have prior written approval from Cost Reimbursement (CRO@umich.edu) • Run “As Needed” Effort Certification Report from Wolverine Access (on-line not available) • Use CORRECT begin and end dates • Obtain Alternate’s signature • Send report & written approval to Cost Reimbursement, 2038 Wolverine Tower, 1273
