  3. Step 1 Order Electronics Technician Second Class nonresident course. (The certification PQG will be a separate pamphlet enclosed with your course material.) Who do you think is responsible? YOU&ESO What do you get for course material?

  4. EPQ and Unit Pamphlet EPQ 5.A.01 would use ET2 Pamphlet Unit 1 NOTE: The units cover all the EPQs

  5. Step2 Assign member (student) to nonresident program and assign a professional development supervisor (PDS) to coach/train student. Who do you think is responsible? CO / ESO NOTE: I know and realize the CO is probable to busy and ESO most likely doesn’t know the rate or the personnel in the division. I highly recommend the training PO or leading Chief provide information to the ESO!! What will that look like?

  6. Here is an example of a member assignment letter. Trap’s DISCLAIMER I know and realize some large units might have a collateral duty junior officer doing this job. I would highly recommend the training PO or Chief provide the letters to them.

The ESO probable doesn’t know who the accomplished performers are in the shop. So, I would highly recommend the training PO or Chief provide the letters to them.

  8. Step3 Review PQG and establish training time line to complete all tasks. Who do you think is responsible? YOU&PDS

  9. Step4 Prepare the PQG Monthly Tracking Sheet (MTS). Who do you think is responsible? PDS NOTE: he will review the MTS with you. What does that look like?

  11. Step5 Read course material; complete all practical exercises, job aids, and quizzes; and demonstrate proficiency on all TPOs and EPQs to PDS. Who do you think is responsible? YOU What does that look like?

  13. Step6 Provide feedback to member on performance. Initial/sign off on successfully completed job aids, TPOs, and EPQs. Who do you think is responsible? PDS What does that look like?

  16. Step8 Submit MTS to department head for periodic review and approval Who do you think is responsible? YOU & PDS

  17. Step9 Sign MTS* to acknowledge member has successfully completed all requirements of PQG nonresident program. (*Retain MTS in member’s Training Record.) Who do you think is responsible? CO or OIC / XO or XPO What does that look like?

  20. Step10 Ensure end-of-course test (EOCT) is ordered for member and arrange test time. Who do you think is responsible? ESO

  21. Step11 Take and pass EOCT. Who do you think is responsible? You NOTE: Since the ET2 EOCT is open book, the ESO will inspect book for any marks in the pamphlets. If marks are found, the ESO will take your pamphlets and give you an unmarked pamphlets for EOCT.

  22. Step12 Recommend member for advancement. Who do you think is responsible? CO or OIC What does that look like?
