一、Why Standard Cost Systems Are Adopted • Standard costing systems enhance planning and control and improve performance measurement. • Standard costing systems facilitate product costing.

Unfavorable不利 variances occur whenever actual prices or usage of inputs are greater than standard prices or usage. Favorable有利 variances occur whenever the opposite occurs.
