James married Sarah Sally Larribee and happily had 10 children and 7 lived. Their names were Emma, Olive, Hazel, Clara, Stanley, Roderick, & Annie.
James lived in Nebraska before he lived in South Dakota. • He also was an army scout and dispatch rider.
James died of a disease in the brain at the age of 53. • Shortly before his death he had built a cemetery. • He buried his children in the placeof their death.
