  2. Genesis 1:26 • Then God said , “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the are, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

  3. God’s creatures • Man is most unusual • only man shares both worlds • the world of animals and the world of angel • man has a soul • think, know, love, and choose • our soul will never die. it is immortal • like animals man can see, hear, touch, taste and smell • Needs air food and water to live

  4. The mystery of us • first man and woman • Adam & Eve • Special gifts • all physical and mental needs to live in happiness • no hardships, never sick, never suffer and never die • not weak willed, understood clearly • God shared is own life with Adam & Eve • No death between this world and heaven

  5. Grace • Sharing in God’s life is Grace • Made in His Image • like God in our minds and in our free will • freedom to choose good • God loves each of us as his children. • Each of us has great value and worth • We matter more than anything else

  6. Psalm 8:4-6 • “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him little less than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honor. You have put all things under his feet.

  7. Hail, Holy Queen • Hail, holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. • Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ

  8. Soul, Grace, Free Will • Soul • the spirit of a man • Grace • a gift from God; sanctifying grace is God’s life in our souls • Free Will • the ability to make a choice to do good
