  2. Painkillers are used to take away pain. Sometimes the painkillers work for certain types of pain. They don’t all work the say way. You should stay away from painkillers because you can die from them. If you take them for a long period of time it can cause brain problems for you.

  3. Types of painkillers There are many types of painkillers out there. • Over the counter drugs (OTC) Over the counter drugs include two main drugs. They are, acetaminophen which is Tylenol and nonsteroidal which is an anti-inflammatory drug. • Oxycodone, sometimes people call them OxyContin or Percocet. • Hydrocodone

  4. Addiction Why do people abuse painkillers? They abuse them to get high or to make others happy. They also abuse them because when they get high it makes them feel better. They think that it takes away their problems. But the question is how do they abuse painkillers? They will take to many at a time (overdose). The can take someone else's painkillers. Or they can take them for no reason at all for a long period of time.

  5. Affects • Dizziness • Addiction • Confusion • Vomiting • Nausea • Coma • Death • And many more

  6. Consequences of Addiction • Death • Heart attack • Can get you into trouble • Sometimes you wont be able to stop • You can hurt the people you love
